A letter from the Innkeepers

“Georgia’s Bed and Breakfast is much more than a place to stay – it’s about sharing stories, making connections and finding new friends along the way. Georgia’s Bed & Breakfast was a dream conceived from the memory of my beloved mother Georgia who passed away in 2013. Born in Briartown, a small town in Oklahoma and from a large family of 16 children; Georgia was raised on a homestead farm where she worked in the fields with her parents hand-picking cotton and placing them in cloth sacks during planting and harvest. She attended a one room school – which she completed through the 8th grade.  She was a mother of 9 children, and grandmother to 23 grandchildren. Georgia was known best for her cooking; she was also a very generous woman who took in families that needed help quite often. If it came to her attention that folks didn’t have a place to go for the holidays – well, let’s just say that there was always room for one or two more at our Thanksgiving table. It was commonplace for families to move into our house until they could manage to get their feet on the ground. We never had much with all the kids plus the extras – but somehow it seemed like enough.

My husband Rob & I have been married 21 years and together have raised five wonderful children. In 2003, our youngest son was diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and in 2011, our nonprofit Reagan’s Reach was formed. It was through our nonprofit that we began to host Mother’s Retreats for parents that have a child diagnosed with PWS. For the last five years I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with the National PWS Association as their Parent Mentor Coordinator.  It was through these experiences; hosting retreats through our non-profit and leading parent mentor workshops that brought me to my passion for hosting and providing rest, rejuvenation and relaxation to others.

To continue supporting families; 10% of all bookings will go into a Retreat Scholarship Fund for parents of a child with PWS.”

Policies

Our policies are to ensure that everyone that stays at Georgia’s Bed & Breakfast has an enjoyable and safe experience. If you have any questions that are not addressed here, please email (georgiasbedandbreakfast@gmail.com) or call (614.504.3325) for clarification.

 

Breakfast Service:

We love hosting and serving breakfast; our full breakfast service is cooked fresh from scratch, our menu will be posted daily and is served in our dining area between 8:30am – 9:30am each morning to accommodate most schedules. Seatings before 8:30am or after 9:30am requires advance arrangements with the Innkeeper. We always try to accommodate all dietary requirements including gluten or dairy free, vegetarian or vegan, low sugar, or low salt dietary needs. Please make us aware of any dietary restrictions prior to arrival so we can try to accommodate.

 

Breakfast Basket:

We offer a light Breakfast Basket to-go for those who prefer – this includes fresh fruit salad, coffee cake and bottled orange juice. Please request this service in advance so that your breakfast basket can be ready for you in the dining room.

 

Attire:

We want all of our guests to have a pleasant experience at Georgia’s Bed & Breakfast. Please come to the dining area appropriately dressed for the comfort of our other guests.

 

Bring your own slippers:

We take pride in caring for our historical home, we have a “No Shoes in the House” policy.

 

Check in/Check out times:

Check in time is between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Early check is only available by prior notice. Late check in after 7:00pm must be scheduled in advance as well.

Check out time is firmly at 11:00am daily unless the Innkeeper has authorized an extended check out. Unauthorized late check out will be charged at $50.00 per hour. We have a very tight schedule with new guests arriving & require a minimum amount of time to clean, sanitize and prepare for out next guest.

Late check in after 7:00pm must be arranged in advance with the Innkeeper. If your travel schedule has changed for unexpected circumstances, call us at 614.504.3325 for instructions for late/self -check in procedures.

 

Reservations/Cancellations:

A reservation deposit equal of 50%  is due upon reservation. The balance of your room is required to be paid in FULL three days before check in, and will be billed to your account automatically.
Cancellation must be made by phone within three days of check in to avoid any cancellation charges. Call us at 614.504.3325 to reschedule your stay with no advance charges to your credit card. NO SHOWS will be charged the full amount for the first night.

 

Key Policy: 

The loss of any keys will result in a $200.00 charge for replacement.

 

Group Reservations:

A reservation that includes 3 or all 4 of our guest rooms for the same party is considered a group reservation. Please notify the Innkeeper during the time of booking of the total number of guests and the possibility of non-inn guests coming during the reservation. A 2% gratuity fee will be charged for all groups booking all rooms.

 

Non-Smoking Policy:

Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside the home or on the property. A minimum cleaning fee of $250.00 will be applied to guest credit card. This includes e-cigs, vapes and the like. As a small bed & breakfast we do not have the option to move guests to alternate rooms if there is a lingering order of smoke.

 

Pets:

No pets allowed.

 

Children:

Guests must be 16 years old or older and must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must be 21 years or older to book rooms.

 

Laundry:

Our laundry machines are not available for guests to use.

 

Wheelchair accommodations:

Due to accessibility obstacles, we cannot accommodate our friends who use wheelchairs or cannot climb stairs.

 

Safety:

There are 18 stairsteps to the second level and the staircase can be challenging for some. The steps are narrow so please keep one hand on the rail when using the stairs.

 

Firearms:

Firearms of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
